That’s an interesting-looking slice of cake at the end of this post. Is the icing peach or mango? Looks like a cake my aunty used to make years ago. Can you point me to the index where I can read up on this cake?

Amy, glad you catch on to my style of humor. Sometimes I wonder whether some things I write that are intended to be funny, come across that way to others. If not move back to Hawaii, at least stop by to visit! As you see by this blog and all the other fine Hawaii-based blogs (and Yelp), there's plenty good eats here in the islands. The pictures you post are great, particularly all your “money shots!” The words you use to describe your experiences is very clean but humorous, with a touch of local humor, and is just simply enjoyable.
