Coverage: Hawaii Restaurant Association Oktoberfest Pāʻina

Sorry for the delay here, as I thought the photos taken at this event were lost forever due to a mishap with my phone.  Since the festive mood is in full swing and it’s still November — just about a month after the fact, there’s still time that we cover it. This, being the Hawaii Restaurant Association Oktoberfest Pāʻina, which took place on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Honolulu Beerworks, a microbrew pub in Kaka’ako.

Guests invited to this private party event included representatives from various businesses in Hawaii’s food and beverage and hospitality industry, as well as folks in local media such as myself.

The menu in buffet station format included Pretzels and Beer Cheese, Carolina Pulled Pork Sliders, Crostini with House-made Ricotta and Blistered Tomatoes, Beer Mac and Cheese with Bratwurst, and House-made Stout Brownies dusted with Powdered Sugar. Invited guests were also given two complimentary tickets for any Honolulu Beerworks brew of choice.

Guest speaker Erika Engle, communications director at Food Gurus Hawaii, discussed “Food Media Placement Tips,” to help HRA members and other attendees get the word out about their businesses. Some lucky attendees won prizes including $100 meat packs from Richard’s Meat Market and $50 ChefZone gift certificates. Live music was provided by local rockers EMKE, who totally rocked the joint. They are AWESOME!

Following is photo coverage of the 2017 HRA Okoberfest Pāʻina. Enjoy. ;-)
