#tastyislandhawaii on Instagram

Funny how the younger generation runs circles around us older folks when it comes to social media, and well, how to REALLY use a smartphone to its full potential. All this time I’ve been SO behind the times (actually purposely hesitant) by ignoring Instagram, currently THE most popular photo-sharing social media mobile app on the planet. Yet thanks to my niece, and various other younger generation folks I’ve spoken with recently, they said Facebook is “so yesterday”, and everyone’s doing Instagram nowadays. Not to mention SnapChat and all those other crazy video sharing and people sharing (dating) apps. So NOT going there!

Thus, on behalf of the Tasty Island, I’m finally on-board the Instagram train. All shots using my trusty Galaxy Note 5, soon to be upgrading to another newer phone (I’m not sure which one right now). Note, I’m a responsible Instagram user, always including a descriptive caption and #hashtags with my photos, so peeps will know what they’re seeing, and most importantly, be able to find it. And I’ll @follow you as well, if I think you’ve got relevant cool pics too. Also note as much as I am into food, I’m also into art and nature (especially the ocean), as well as tech (aircraft, cars, motorcycles and electronic stuff), so expect to see that subject matter in my Instagram feed as well. All G-rated (for the most part) of course! Mostly it will be “grindz” though. ;-)

There’s a tastyislanhawaii Instagram icon you can click on the top and bottom of this site, as well as a live feed section to the right (towards the bottom if you’re viewing/scrolling down this site on mobile). So if you like, please follow #tastyislandhawaii for lots of super cool and practically on-the-fly, current (and some archived) Hawaii foodie “grindz of the day” and lifestyle pics!

Fantastic! The Cure were fantastic last year too when I saw them for the second time. Proably being 15 feet away helped too.
