Following is photo coverage of the 2017 St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Waikiki. This also includes post coverage at Kelley O’Neil’s, one of the few, yet very popular Irish Pubs in Waikiki. Sláinte (cheers)! ;-)
These are Irish Wolfhounds, and they’re HUGE…. as big as a Great Dane!
Yours Truly with Terry Sullivan (on the left), by far the most festive St. Patrick’s Day reveler in Waikiki!
Check this out: Anna is half Indian (middle eastern), half Russian, and speaks both languages (as well as English of course) fluently…. what an incredibly BEAUTIFUL mixture!

The lovely gal 3rd from the left with the green hat and “Irish Lives Matter” shirt is Dr. Nancy Smiley, an MD in Family Medicine at Straub
On the left is David, a Doctor in Opthalmology with the U.S. Army, and next to him is Father Ruby, a WWII veteran!

This shirt holds a DEEP meaning: when I asked the fellah wearing it what “Cullen” is, he explained it’s the name of his best friend, Officer Sean Cullen, a New Jersey State Trooper, who was killed in the line of duty. Sean was born in 1985 in Dublin, Ireland.
On the back of the shirt on that Irishman’s left fist is the date Officer Cullen passed away, and on the right his badge number. RIP Sean.
This handsome lad is Owen O’Callaghan, owner of Happy Cakes. Owen was born in Ireland and lived there until he was 8, then moved to the US. His mother is from Galway, while dad is from Dublin, which are on complete opposite sides of Ireland.
