• 2 sticks butter, softened
• 2½ cups flour
• 1/2-cup sugar or confectioner’s sugar (powdered sugar)
• Dash of salt
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Using pasty cutter or a large fork, cut butter into dry ingredients. Save about a quarter to a third of the dough on the side and gently press the remaining dough in a greased 9″x13″ pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly browned.
1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. vanilla
In a small saucepan, melt chocolate chips and milk. Take pan off from heat and stir-in vanilla. Pour over hot crust.
1/2-cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts
Leftover dough from crust
In a small bowl, combine the leftover dough, chocolate chips and walnuts, using a fork until crumbly. Sprinkle over chocolate filling. Bake for another 25 minutes. Cool. Makes about 32-36 bars.
