According to NationalDayCalendar.com, today, June 7th, is National Chocolate Ice Cream Day.
In light of that, since National Macadamia Nut Day has already been designated for September 4th, National Chocolate Day for October 28th, and as of yet, Macadamia Nut Chocolate Ice Cream is all but non-existent, The Tasty Island hereby proclaims today, June 7th as Hawaii Macadamia Nut Ice Cream Day. Yay!
While Chocolate Ice Cream may be a national treasure, in Hawaii, Macadamia Nut Ice Cream is treasured by visitors and kama’aina alike. So if you don’t have some already, head on over to the store or your favorite ice cream parlor and enjoy some creamy, nutty Macadamia Nut Ice Cream today!

Ha! That’s ironic, as just last week I FINALLY tossed out my last remaining VCR in the house, along with the rest of the tapes, which actually still worked. Soon DVDs will be a thing of the past, too, as many folks already stream all their video content online, including HD.
In light of National VCR Day, let’s make this Hawaii Draw in the Sand Day, where, just like on a VCR tape, you can at least temporarily “record” a special message to someone, such as “I LOVE YOU, MAN!”… which of course, nope you’re not getting his Bud Light. lol
