DETAILS: At the stroke of midnight on Saturday, December 8, McDonald’s of Waikele will celebrate its grand reopening following a complete renovation. The public is invited to attend and enjoy special product offers throughout the wee hours of the morning till 9 a.m., followed by an afternoon of festivities. From 12 to 6 a.m., the store will offer several special product promotions, including a free Sausage McMuffin® or McChicken® with any breakfast or lunch sandwich purchase from 12 to 3 a.m., free small coffee or fountain drink with any purchase from 3 to 6 a.m., and a free apple pie with any purchase of a breakfast platter from 6 to 9 a.m.

Festivities will start with a blessing at 11 a.m., followed by a traditional Chinese lion dance and a chance to win a new TV and other prize giveaways with Hawaiian 105.1 KINE.

    I love those McD haupia pies, and they haven’t had them on my last two trips. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for next time …
